2018 resolutions

As this holiday season is coming to an end, have you made your list of New Year’s resolutions? Are you looking back on this past year and thinking about what you’d like to do differently?

Can you do so in a way that celebrates all you’ve learned, all you’ve gained and how far you’ve come?

Can you honor even the behaviors you’d like to change by acknowledging you did the very best you could in that moment?

Can you ask yourself, “What can I let go of right now that will make room for me to fully taste the abundance in my life?”

I imagine that your inbox, like mine, is full of promises of yet another detox, diet plan, or exercise routine designed to bring you the results that elude you. They are worded beautifully, designed to convince you that this time will be different, that you’ll be missing out if you don’t buy in.

What if I tell you there’s a better way….that the solution to what you are seeking is with you already, all the time. You just need to do ONE thing. LISTEN TO THE WISDOM OF YOUR BODY. It knows what it needs.

Clear the clutter of processed foods designed to ensure “we really can’t eat just one”. Pay attention to what you crave and what you really like. When you LISTEN, you fall into the best diet for YOU.

Self-soothe in ways that nurture rather than sabotage. Ask what you are really hungry for and LISTEN….the answer won’t be in the kitchen.

Re-frame your thoughts to be accepting, non-judgmental and loving to yourself and others. LISTEN to what those thoughts and beliefs sound like and question where they came from. Can you see the distortion in the message and let it go with compassion as they no longer serve you?

“New Year, New You” shouldn’t be about what you can DO; make it about who you can BE.

I wish you a year of extraordinary!
