When you have a preoccupation with food and fear of what it will do to your body, you feel like it rules your life and most likely does. But there is so much more to life than constantly stressing about food and your eating habits. So, I want to share more information about how disordered eating impacts your life and what you can do about it.

Disordered eating can manifest in many ways, and most people think that they have their food issues under control or try to have them under control. Until one day, they realize it’s the opposite that the disordered behaviors and challenges with eating are what’s really in control.

Perhaps you’re constantly on a diet following food rules that can change every time you learn of someone else’s way of eating that’s working for them. Maybe you’ve cut out carbs, you’ve cut out fats, and you’re still counting calories.

Perhaps you wake up every day vowing to be better, only to end the day feeling deprived and starving? There are so many aspects to a disordered and dysfunctional relationship with food. I want you to know that you’re not alone.

You can continue to learn more and feel supported by so many of these patterns around food that make you feel helpless or learn at a very young age. It is one of the reasons it can be so difficult to overcome disordered eating and why it can impact so many areas of your life, your self-worth, how you feel about your body, how you navigate your relationships, even your sleep, your immunity, your digestive and hormone health will be impacted.
